Ljubljana will be the European Green Capital in 2016; the 8th Ljubljana Festival of Cultural and Artistic Education Bobri will join the numerous events taking place under this umbrella. At various workshops and other events in museums, galleries and libraries, as well as at theatre, film, dance and music performances, we will explore and develop sensitivity to protecting the local and global environment, which is currently plagued by climate change, resource scarcity and harmful appropriation. We will examine how we can creatively use waste, how we can share and share goods, skills and knowledge. Children will once again be able to actively participate in festival events and thus help to co-create them. More information

Clothes make the man, guided tour with workshop (6+, 90-120 min)
We can express who we are with our style of dress. This is also the case in theatre. A costume has accompanied an actor since the beginnings of theatre as we know it today, and can tell the viewer a lot about the role and the play. A theatre costume can express a person's age, gender, personality, profession, style and other characteristics. It can also tell us in what time and place the play takes place. In the workshop, we will explore how theatre costumes have developed over time, how costumes are created in theatre today and what kind of message they can convey. We must not forget that a costume is also just a piece of clothing that actually comes to life only with the play. Therefore, we will try to revive costumes and give them meaning through play, before trying our hand at the role of costume designers ourselves using recycled materials.
