Members of the so called National reading room in Kranj (reading rooms were established in Carniola during the 1860’s and constituted a cultural and political movement). Colorized photo 1878l

First from left is the mother in law of Mr. Saboti, a lawyer in Kranj in the years before WW II. Her daughter, who died in Kranj at the high age of 85, gave the photo as a present to Jože Kovačič, the actor of Prešeren Theatre. In 1980 he brought it to out institution.
