Tone Stojko (1947) is one of the most important Slovenian photographers of the last half century. He can boast, among others, portraits of Alfred Hitchcock, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, concert footage of Tina Turner, etc. In addition to reportage, documentary and portrait photography, Stojko has always been committed to the theatre. His theatre photography oeuvre comprises more than 310,000 photographs and is characterised by his distinctive, artistic approach.
The exhibition Theatre Photography accompanies the publication of the e-book of the same name and presents productions from 1969–2016.
Curator .Tea Rogelj has selected fifty photographs from the period from 1969 to 2016 from the photographic material published in the book. The exhibition was designed by Nina Šturm.
Tone Stojko dedicates the book and the exhibition to Dušan Jovanović, with whom he began his theatrical journey.
