From our collections – Dokumenti (The Documents) of the Slovenian Theatre Institute

Lokacija: slogi.si
Termin: 03. 05. 2024

We are presenting our collections.

Dokumenti (The Documents) is the oldest publication series of the Slovenian Theatre Institute (until 2014 Slovenian Theatre Museum): it has been published continuously already for sixty years. To mark this anniversary, we have organised the exhibition Dokumenti at 60: From Theatre Magazine to Book Series (7 March–28 May 2024).

The initiative for the book series came from Dušan Moravec (1920–2015), also the initiator and co-founder of the Ljubljana City Theatre, the dramaturge, literary and theatre historian, the director of the Slovenian Theatre Museum in years 1962–1975, later a recognized academician.

Already in 1958, Moravec established Knjižnica MGL (The Library of the Ljubljana City Theatre), another specialized theatre collection. Another lasting result of Moravec at the Slovene Theatre Museum followed in 1967: the continual publishing of the Slovenian Theatre Repertory, which is still published under the title Slovenian Theatre Annual.
